I experimented with different shapes, styles and colours to design the characters of Bella, the duckling, and Bailey, the dog, and make them appealing to very young children. For my final illustrations I chose compositions that were dynamic and visually interesting while maintaining the simplicity of bold, colourful designs that would appeal to a very young audience.
